FTP client works on client/server architecture.An FTP clients initiates a request to the FTP sever for connection using the FTP protocol.Once the connection is established, client software can be used to download, upload, and manage files and folders on a server.

REQUIREMENTS TO CONNECT TO FTP SERVER

Before connecting to an FTP server, vou need to install FTP client software on your computer. You can also connect to an online FTP server using its web address, username and password.
